Wilson’s Creek area is a hidden jewel in Pisgah Forest. It doesn’t get the press of Transylvania County and us locals like it that way! Riders will experience the best of the gravel dirt grinds in the area with 2 fully stocked aid stations along the way and a great meal at the end.

Registration / packet pickup open Friday from 5pm to 10pm, Saturday 6:30am to 8:30am two aid stations are available for drop bags. Register early at the BikeReg link at the bottom of the page to guarantee a t-shirt.

Camping! We will offer camping the night before, $10 per person.
We will have a bonfire on the beach to keep you toasty. Bring a hotdog, beverage & campchair to relax before the race.

Rules / Guidelines
- Ride single file to the right when on open roads unless passing
- Obey all traffic rules unless the Sheriffs department waves you through
- Riders may support other riders
33 Mile Route
The ride begins at the Brown Mountain Beach Resort camping area. Riders will head out of the campground staging area, then north on Brown Mountain Beach Road for several miles of warm up.
The route parallels Wilson Creek on a relatively flat gravel road. The route turns right on NC 90 traveling approximately 3 miles then take a right on to Maple Grove Road.
This will begin a one-mile climb. After a short descent, Maple Grove Road becomes FR 187 (Maple Sally Rd). This section is full of alternating climbs and descents on a very curvy road. A total of 21.2 miles will lead you to SR 1337 (Adako Road).
Turn right for 1 mile of pavement before turning right onto Brown Mountain Beach Road leading back to Brown Mountain Beach Resort.
53 Mile Route
The ride begins at the Brown Mountain Beach Resort camping area. Riders will head out of the campground staging area, then north on Brown Mountain Beach Road for several miles of warm up.
The route parallels Wilson Creek on a relatively flat gravel road. The route turns left on NC 90 and goes about 2 to 3 miles to the Edgemont community where it turns left on the Roseborough Road for a 3-mile climb to the intersection with FR 451, where the route turns right. This narrow forest road is the most challenging section of the ride and terminates at the highest point of the route at Old House Gap
Turn right on FR 192 Continue on FR 192 for 4 miles and take a right on FR 45 (Edgemont Road). After traveling one mile through the community of Gragg, the ride begins to descent on a winding dirt road. After five miles turn left on FR 4068A 4.2-mile journey of curves, gentle climbs and descents will bring the rider back to NC 90.
