Savage CX is held in one of the few designated Wilderness areas in North Carolina, it is wild and scenic. Often called the Grand Canyon of North Carolina you will be in for a treat as you circumnavigate the gorge and push yourself to the base of Table Rock Mountain. There will be at least 2 rest stops along the route and a wonderful meal at the end.

August 13th 2016 9am start, USFS permit approved
Registration / packet pickup open Friday from 5pm to 8pm, Saturday 7:30am to 8:30am. Drop bags will be transported to the rest stops. Register early at the Its Your Race link at the bottom of the page to guarantee memorabilia.

$70 online through Fri Aug 12th 10am
$80 day of Open Fri Aug 12th 5pm – 8pm & Sat Aug 13th 7:30am – 8:30am
Traveling from out of town?
Camping! We have a field area at our disposal so for those out of towners that would prefer to drive up Friday evening, throw a tent in the car and crash with us.

Pump/compressed air, tube/patches, layers for inclement weather, your favorite post ride beverage

Rules / Guidelines
- Ride single file to the right when on open roads unless passing
- Obey all traffic rules unless the Sheriffs department waves you through
- Riders may support other riders
Course is CW this year! This will allow for a nice warm up climb right out of the gate.
Rest stops at 17 / 31 miles will be fully stocked and you may send a drop bag to each of these stops.
Elevation gain is at 7,000ft.
This course is extremely rough (tires = high volume/low pressure > low volume/high pressure)
Bike recommendations would be CX or Gravel bike with big tires or 29er
Bring spare tubes
